From technical debt to a platform built for what’s next

Fellowmind wanted more than an Optimizely upgrade. They wanted a digital platform that could keep pace with the business – making it easier to develop, improve and launch new ideas across markets.

Fellowmind is a large international organisation with multiple markets, languages and stakeholders. Over time, their existing web platform had become increasingly complex and costly to maintain, making it harder to turn new ideas into reality.

The move to a modernised Optimizely solution was therefore an opportunity to do more than upgrade technology. Together, we focused on creating a stronger foundation for marketing, sales and digital development – today and further ahead.

A stronger foundation for continuous development

A key part of the work was reducing technical debt and simplifying the platform. By modernising the frontend, standardising components and creating a more structured architecture, we made the website easier to develop and maintain.

At the same time, we improved the experience for both visitors and editors through clearer content structures, better search and filtering, improved accessibility and more reusable components.

The goal wasn't to build more. It was to make it easier to get things done.

Turning a new idea into reality – fast

A great example is Fellowmind's AI Agents Live Portfolio.

The idea came from Fellowmind, with a clear business purpose and an ambitious timeline. Thanks to the new architecture and Epinova's reusable components, the team could build on what was already there instead of starting from scratch.

Filtering, content management and presentation logic could be reused and adapted, making it possible to launch the new portfolio quickly.

The result is an interactive experience where visitors can explore, filter and compare AI Agents based on their needs.

It's a practical example of what a good digital foundation should enable: when a new opportunity comes along, you can act on it – rather than first having to solve the technology.

Making everyday work easier

The new platform has also created a more efficient way of working for Fellowmind's marketing teams.

Reusable components and a clearer content structure make it easier to create, update and reuse content across markets and languages, while reducing manual work and keeping the experience consistent.

For the teams working with the website, that means less friction and more freedom to focus on content, campaigns and business priorities.

A platform that keeps moving

The work with Fellowmind is not a one-off rebuild. The platform continues to evolve through close collaboration between the teams, with new ideas and improvements being prioritised and delivered continuously.

That's ultimately what this project is about: building a platform that can evolve at the same pace as the business.

For Fellowmind, that means a more stable and maintainable Optimizely solution today – and a much stronger ability to turn tomorrow's ideas into reality.
